What a summer we had, it’s always so nice to get out in the fields (and Cows, Llamas, broken stiles, stinging nettles!) As the dark nights begin to draw in please get your running lights charged up and hi viz tops at the ready.

Our current C25K is going well. Thank you to everyone who helps each week and makes them feel welcome.

Emma Copeland is offering to run track sessions at Keele on Thursday nights. Please reply on Spond if you are interested.

Sat 21^st October – Bongo Bingo Audley CC. Please book on, it’s a crazy fun night – BOOK HERE.

Please volunteer to help set up on the night.

Sun 29^th October – Strider takeover at Clough Hall Junior Park Run in Kidsgrove. Volunteers needed. Please let Luisa know

Tuesday 31^st October – Halloween run and final C25K, it would be great to dress up and run together before coming back to celebrate their achievement and hand out their medals

Sat 4^th November – Betley Bonfire, volunteers needed. This was a great night last year and we’d like to do it again. Probably scanning tickets, free food and we got to watch the fireworks.

Please let Luisa know, the more we get the more money we can apply for!

Tues 7^th November – AGM and Bring a Plate after the club run. Luisa is stepping down as Chair and Rob Mottram will be voted in. Lucy is stepping down as membership secretary. We are asking anyone who would like to consider joining the committee for the following roles – membership secretary, social media secretary and joining the events team to contact Luisa.

Sun 12^th November – Remembrance Sunday. Anyone wishing to attend on our behalf please contact Luisa

Thurs 17^th November – Awards night at Alessi, Curry and Cocktail as previous year, more info to follow.

Rotary Santa Sleigh – Always a great night volunteering on the sleigh. Dates to be confirmed and we will ask for volunteers nearer the time.

Sun 17^th December – Festive 5k – This is our 4^th year hosting this race and it’s proved to be a popular one in the local race diary. If you are not entering the race please consider volunteering on the day either to help out at the cricket club or marshal the race alongside the Rotary Club. We would love the club to get dressed up this year.
