Club Runs

Beginners Club Run (Tuesday only):  Our new beginners Club Runs will consist of small loops on tarmac terrain,  where members can learn the basics and run/jog/walk at their own pace until they feel comfortable and ready to join our 5km Club Runs.  These will help new runners to build up their confidence, increase the distance they feel able to cover and help to improve their stamina.  Whilst taking part in our Beginners Club Run, you may be joined by some of our regular runners, who will loop backwards to ensure no one is left on their own and to offer the support and encouragement we believe beginners need to help them succeed and progress. 

5 km (3.1 miles) Club Run (Tuesdays and Thursdays):
These Club Runs offer a variety of both road and trail terrains, (depending on the weather and time of year).  We try to vary our routes as much as possible, and we currently have over 20 different 5km route options to choose from in our inventory.  Runners who are able to, are encouraged to continue to use the mustering system whereby if they find themselves getting too far in front they loop back to ensure no one is too far behind and to ensure the group sticks together. This not only allows everyone to feel supported and also safe but allows those who feel comfortable doing so, to cover extra distance.

10 km (6.2 miles)  Club Run (Thursday only):
These Club Runs offer a combination of both road and trail terrains, (depending on the weather and time of year).  Runners who are able to, are encouraged to continue to use the mustering system whereby if they find themselves getting too far in front they loop back to ensure no one is too far behind and to ensure the group sticks together. This not only allows everyone to feel supported and also safe but also means members can cover as much extra distance as they wish to.
