Club Members Info:

Members Facebook Group – You might have noticed that we have made a slight tweak to our name of the Facebook group name. “Audley Striders Members Group” – this is a group, for you all, the members, to share any runs/training that you are organising, that you think other members might like to join you on. Any races you have signed up to, that we could train alongside you and for some of us to be able to keep the date free to cheer you over that finish line – we can be loud and we love to fly our flag! And lastly any local events/running meets etc, that you feel might be of interest to other members.

Run Leaders – We still have funds available to allow members to train to be a run leader. Please get in touch if you would like any further information.

NSRRA Ambassador – Would anyone like to represent our club for the following year as the NSRRA Ambassador?

Audley Rotary have asked if any of our members would like to help on the Santa evenings – we will share the dates and locations on the members Facebook group.

Please continue to use Spond for our runs  – Now the darker nights are here our run leaders need to know who they have in their groups.

November Dates for the Diary:

Sun 17th Nov: The Wammy Sunday Park Run. For those that can’t make a parkrun on a Saturday due to work/family commitments. We take to the route for our own Sunday Striders Run. Meet in the carpark at 08:30am. All abilities welcome. There might even be cake at the finish.

Tues 19th Nov: Dawn’s 70th Birthday Bring a Plate Club Run. Join us in celebrating Dawn turning 70 – all distances will run together this evening, so we can all be back at the club house at the same time to share food and raise a glass ‘Hip Hip Hooray’

Sat 23rd Nov: Awards Evening / Christmas Meal. The votes are in and the deposits have been paid. We look forward to seeing all those that have booked at the Royal Balti in Audley at 7.30pm.

December Dates for the Diary:

Tues 3rd Dec: Festive 5k Bag Packing. After our club run if anyone could spare an hour back at the club house, to help us fill the finishers goodie bags. There’s always a spare chocolate or two in return for your help

Sun 15th Dec: Festive 5K – Anyone who has put their name down to volunteer, meet at the cricket club at 9.30am so we can assign roles. If you haven’t yet put your name down to volunteer and would like to, please message Luisa and she will add you to the list. The more the merrier!  This is now a sold out event, with a waiting list of names for any cancellations. Raising money for Childhood Cancer Patients Alliance.

Tuesday 17th Dec: Christmas Jumper Club Run. We’ll all be heading out on club runs wearing our favourite Christmas Jumper attire. We kindly ask for a donation of £2 per member to go to the Save the Children Charity. Join us back at the club house for a complimentary mince pie.
